Slow cooked 12 hour pot roast

This is a great Sunday dinner that uses a cheap cut of meat that cooks simply beautifully and very easily.

Wot u need
1.2kg piece of brisket beef
4 chopped carrots (big chunks)
1 chopped leek
3 tsp Bisto powder
Salt and pepper

Wot u do
Place the carrots in the bottom of the crockpot. Stick the beef on top and flake over the leek. Mix the Bisto with 1 mug of cold water and pour over beef. Don’t worry if the liquid doesn’t come anywhere near the top of the meat. Season with salt and pepper. Cook on slow for 12 hours without touching.

Cool the beef and it will cut easy. Serve with some mashed potato.

Serves 4.
