Scottish Mince!

Minced beef or “mince” as we call it is traditionally served with mashed potatoes and peas – it’s a local winner. Personally I like mince served with buttered bread!

Wot u need
500g minced beef
2 medium carrots
2 OXO cubes
Salt and pepper

Wot u do
Brown the mince in a dry pot for five minutes or so. Cut the carrot and add to the mince. Crumble over the OXO cubes and season. Add a little cold water. Boil, cover and simmer for one hour.

Serves 2-3
