Plum Jam

Come on, it’s a classic!DSCF5531

Wot u need
2.3 kg fresh plums
2kg granulated sugar
Juice of 2 lemons

Wot u do
Half and de-stone the plumbs. Place in a preserving pan, add lemon and boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 mins. Add the sugar, boil, reduce and cook for 40 mins.

The jam is ready when a saucer, placed in the freezer for an hour, leaves a stretchy mark when some jam mix placed on it. Boil till this happens.

Makes seven jars.
