Cowboy Casserole

This is the easiest dish in the world. Everyone should learn to cook it – honestly you and your family will love it.

Wot u need
Six pork sausages (good quality)
Two cloves of garlic or a squirt of garlic paste
One large onion diced
200mls passata
1 tsp mixed herbs
1 tbsp tomato puree
1/2 ham or chicken stock cube (dissolved in 100 mls hot water)
One tin borlotti beans (drained under running water)
Seasoning

Wot u do
Brown the sausages in a little veg oil – remove and set aside. Clean pan, add some more oil and cook off onions and garlic and herbs for a few mins. Add sausages and onion to a slow cooker. Add everything else except the borlotti beans, cover and cook on low for four hours. At the end, use scissors to chop each sausage into four pieces and add the beans before serving (they will heat through no issue)

Serves: two. Serve with bread

Top tip: Don’t season till end – stock cube can be salty.
