Take a piece of kitchen foil and place some greaseproof paper onto it. Drizzle with a little olive oil and place the salmon, skin side down, on the paper. Drizzle the top with a little more olive oil and some slithers of ginger or ginger paste (just a little) and season with salt and pepper.
Pull both sides of the foil up together like a Cornish pasty, and leave room for air between the join and the steaks. Cook at 180 degrees c for 30 mins.
Serve with mashed potatoes and veg.
Use maple syrup and chilli to glaze rather than ginger!
