There is no better start to the day than a bowl of porridge. It gives you wonderful slow-releasing energy and it really fills you up for longer than most other breakfasts. This recipe takes the crap out of the process and makes a truly delicious porridge.
Wot u need
1/2 cup porridge oats
1+1/2 cups milk
1/2 banana (optional)
Wot u do
Measure out the porridge and milk into a bowl. Stick in a 700-800w microwave for two mins then go away and do something useful. Come back when you hear the ping, stir and cook for a further 1+1/2 mins. Check consistency and zap for a further 30 secs if required.
Plate up, add the chopped banana and season – I use honey.
