These chips are wonderful. You get all the taste of twice and thrice fried chips, the lovely crispiness, and all without many of the calories. The secret is in the steaming process. These are a great choice if you are watching your calorie intake but really miss home fried chips.

Wot u need
350g baking potatoes, uniformly chipped
1 tbsp light olive oil
Sea salt and pepper

Steam the potatoes in a steamer (using boiling water to fill) for 10 mins. Remove potatoes, pat dry and cool. Heat oven to very high 220 degrees c. Toss potatoes in a bowl with oil and salt and place on a baking tray. Bake for 10 mins, turn over and bake for a further 1o mins (watch them around the five minute mark if you don’t like your chips dark in colour.) Add pepper.
