Water icing is the easiest icing to make – and it’s really effective. There’s no real skill involved but a couple of tips will really help.
Pour some icing sugar into a bowl. Using a palette knife mix with a VERY SMALL amount of warm (important) water. Mix thoroughly and add almost drops of water till you get a thick paste. The icing is ready when an amount dropped of the palette knife into the mix leaves a ribbon shape that stays for a second or two.
